For years I have discussed the importance of bringing back the entertainment value when it comes to drag racing and for some it falls on deaf ears, but for others like the Bader Family and their track, Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio it is all about the entertainment and putting on one hell of a show for the fans.
A week before Kentucky’s most famous horse race takes place, the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) is bringing a different level of horsepower to the Bluegrass State for the second annual Vortech Superchargers Doorslammer Derby presented by Stroud Safety.

For more than a decade now there have been two races that really kick off the drag racing season. The first of which is USSN, and the second is Lights Out. In just days from now, we will roll into SGMP for the 12 annual Lights Out, presented by Donald Long and Duck X Productions.
When we roll into a new season of racing, especially after the year that we all experienced in 2020, the expectations are extraordinary. Over the weekend we kicked off the 2021 season with a triumphant return to heads-up drag racing, but amid overwhelming tragedy as well.

Waking up on a cold snowy day in Western NY in April the last thing I thought I would be doing was going to cover a drag race, but here I am.

I am not normally one to talk about how something is a new norm or and old norm, but damn was it good to see the NMRA & NMCA back in action for the first time since early March. The action certainly did not disappoint either.

Ferris, TX - (July 16, 2019) The Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) came to show Texas how pro mod is done and gave them Jeff Jones taking his first MWPMS victory when he defeated Todd Martin in the finals.
This year the NMRA Ford Motorsport Nationals, held at the scenic Maple Grove Raceway (Mohnton, PA), was moved to the end of the June and the racers and fans were met with the sun shining in the sky and warm weather. The legacy Ford event is the fourth stop on the six-race NMRA Ford Nationals tour.
In the drag racing world, there is never an event that goes off without a hitch as they say. The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series had their Division 4 season opener this weekend at Houston Raceway Park. Parking began on Wednesday, March 20, and racing concluded on Sunday, March 24.
