ESTA Syracuse vs The World Event Wrap with Gallery
/ Damon SteinkeIt isn’t often that we at E3xtreme get the opportunity to cover events outside of our norm, and obviously with all the Covid BS, that has become even more difficult. This last weekend though, E3xtreme contributor and one of our lead photographers, David Hilner, made his way to Syracuse in an effort to bring all of you some great action.
The race is a yearly race that brings some of the fast small tire outlaw cars in the NY area together. There were 18 cars that showed up for the ESTA Syracuse vs. the World Outlaw race on Sunday. Since it appears that we have had a dramatic up and down in the temperatures already, it was going to be a tuners day if you wanted to end up standing talk at the end.
Trying to figure out the tune for the track as they started was a challenge, but it all started to come around and we witnessed some amazingly tight Outlaw racing. At the end of the day though, when all the dust settled, it was set to be Josh Mills from Rochester NY facing off against one of New York’s heavyweights in small tire Outlaw racing, Moe Alfaqih from Cheektowaga. When the bulbs dropped and the boards came to light, it was Moe who took the victory in his nitrous powered Foxbody Mustang.
