MWPMS Lands in Ennis this Weekend on a High Note
Tulsa, Oklahoma – (May 19, 2020) After everything that we have seen happen to the industry over the previous two months, MWPMS is flying high after experiencing an amazing opening event of the season at Tulsa. This weekend stop two on the tour in Ennis, Texas, and has no intention of slowing down.
“We made a lot of changes to the Tulsa event to keep the racers and spectators safe including an online registration process and time slip app as well as social distancing protocols. I am extremely proud of our people for adhering to these and making it a great kick-off to our 2020 season”, states series founder Keith Haney.
“Ennis is a staple race for the Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Pro Mod Series and we could not be more excited to finally be back and show the great state of Texas what the MWPMS is all about. We were pleased to have 29 Pro Mods in Tulsa with competitors from all the other big race series including NHRA, PDRA, and NMCA with us”, states MWPMS Event Director Ellen Eschenbacher.
While it is not under prime conditions due to the regulations placed on our fan base, if Tulsa was any indication, the fans will flock to their living rooms to tune in to this amazing event. Fans will also be treated to the exciting NHRA Top Alcohol Dragsters and Funny Cars this weekend as well as the top Pro Mods, Top Sportsman, Top Dragsters, and Juniors in the country competing for a MWPMS victory as they build on their points for a season championship. As a bonus to the Juniors who are new to the series in 2020, a separate race on Friday and Saturday will culminate with a junior racer walking away with the coveted NHRA Wally on Saturday night.
Aaron Wells, the 2019 Pro Mod Champion will be on the grounds in Ennis in an attempt to defend his crown. The Wells family took the victory at Tulsa and is planning to hold that momentum in Ennis. Will he continue his quest to be the first MWPMS Pro Mod team to win back-to-back championships?

About the Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Pro Mod Series
Mid-West Pro Mod series was founded in 2017 by Pro Mod and Radial class racer Keith Haney. Keith is also the co-owner of Tulsa Raceway Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The series was created for the racers by a racer to fill a void in the Midwest region when it came to pro mod and sportsman racing. The continued mission of the MWPMS is to put on a superior family show for the fans and racers, along with providing a great place for people to come and race. Mid-West Pro Mod Series returns in 2020 with 5 classes: Pro Mod, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, and the addition of two Junior Dragster Classes.
