Changes abound in what used to be know as No Prep Kings aka NPK

Well, over the weekend there was a lot of discussion surrounding NPK. A new name, format, moving to different track etc. so let’s dive into it.

As most had seen over the weekend on social media, Xtreme Raceway Park had made a post that the NPK race had been cancelled due to non-payment. The following day, Clyde from XRP elaborated on what exactly he was addressing in the previous social media post on Facebook. This started a firestorm of chatter regarding the race being moved to a competing track right down the road in Ennis, TX.

Right around the time that all of this was happening, I personally saw on my social media feed a link to the new No Prep Elite Championship, along with a new website and other information that I had not seen before. This immediately caused me to dive deeper to see what was happening, as the rumor put forth a month or two ago was that Dana White had purchased the rights to NPK.

If you go to the new No Prep Elite website you will see that it is ©2024 Speed Promotions and on their Privacy Policy Page you can see that the No Prep Elite is an entity of Speed Promotions Partners LLC. What I found is that Speed Promotions Partners LLC is…

Speed Promotions Partners LLC Overview

Speed Promotions Partners LLC filed as a Foreign Limited Liability Company (LLC) in the State of Texas on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 and is approximately five months old, as recorded in documents filed with Texas Secretary of State. A corporate filing is called a foreign filing when an existing corporate entity files in a state other than the state they originally filed in. This does not necessarily mean that they are from outside the United States.

That just means that it is an LLC that conducts business in other states than just its home state. Obviously with No Prep Elite competing in numerous states all over the country, that is why it is define as a foreign LLC. They also have LLC’s listed in multiple other states as a branch of the main, like Texas appears to be, which the actual company formation in Delaware, which is not unusual as the state has very friendly business laws, along with tax and privacy benefits. As I continued to look into this I have discovered that there are three key people involved with Speed Promotions Partners LLC. The first being David Hirschfeld, who is involved in multiple companies, but also is the Chief Investment Officer of Fiume Capital, who also has investments in companies such as FloRacing.

The other two primary people involved with the company are ones that most people in the community already know, and that is Craig Piligian, who is also the CEO of Pilgrim Studios, and Sam Korkis, who has been a part of Street Outlaws and NPK since the beginning.

So that’s the business side of things and I could go on and on regarding that aspects of the business, but you get the idea. Let’s talk about the on track competition though. It was announced that after the “season” there will be a playoff if you will. They state that the playoffs will take the top 16 from the season and it will become a winner take all for $150k. The four race playoff will consist of races at Tulsa, Rockingham, Steele, and their finals at the Texas Motorsplex in Ennis, TX. If one were to assume, I would think the points would zero out for those sixteen drivers and whoever gained the most points during the 4 race playoff would be the winner?? They don’t give a format to how that is going to be handled though on their website.

Either way, this will give fans a big push to be a part of the final four races of the season, which is not only important for the drivers and fans, but also a big thing for the tracks that are a part of the playoffs. You will most likely see record crowds at these tracks, as fans of those drivers will come in droves to see if their driver can secure that huge end of year payout.

In closing, from all the research that I have done, even with the program not being a part of the Discovery television lineup anymore, it doesn’t appear that the program is going anywhere. A lot of the business side of things was recently created, and one would assume that is in an effort to keep moving forward with the product.
