The thing that remains constant is the benefit that the fan gets from this competition between tracks, promoters, and even series. With no competition, it becomes entirely too easy to “take it easy” and not put effort forth.
The Mid-West Drag Racing Series has decided once again to take it to the next level of entertainment though, in conjunction with the brand new Flying H Drag Strip, to offer not only the fans a show they’ll never forget, but a race that every Alcohol Funny Car driver, Pro Mod driver, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, and Junior Dragster driver will want to be involved with.
Some will say that it’s just another big money race, and fact of the matter is that it is a big money payout, in fact it’s a record setting Pro Mod payout! Fact is that brings all the hype, the drivers, the media, and it encourages fans to come and experience drag racing first hand. The money can never replace the atmosphere of racing in front of tens of thousands of fans for the largest Pro Mod payout in history!
So, are you wondering what the details to the epic event are going to be? Well, let’s break it down for you. As I stated, this will be a historic Pro Mod payday, buy Pro Mod isn’t the only class that’s going to have a big payday.
Pro Mod drivers are going to be fighting for a $150,000.00 first place payday. That is not a misprint folks! The single richest prize in pro mod racing will be awarded at Flying H Drag Strip the weekend of September 19th-21st 2024. That’s not all though, the runner-up will get a huge payday in the amount of $25,000.00. That is just the top two payouts for the main event in Pro Mod. Remember I said that Pro Mod wasn’t the only class taking home a payday. Alcohol Funny Car will compete for a $10k payday that weekend as well. Along with those two classes, both Top Sportsman and Top Dragster will be battling to take home a prize of $5k each respectively. At MWDRS they don’t leave out their Juniors either. The juniors will be going rounds in an attempt to take home a $2k payday in each of the two junior classes.
