Bradenton Motorsports Park Announces one of the largest Pro Mod Pay Day's in History

To say the Snowbirds at BMP was a great success giving everything that has been happening in the world of drag racing during 2020 might be an understatement. Building off that momentum, there is a huge announcement regarding the 2021 race that Victor wanted to make today.

The 2020 Snowbirds was a great event. We were able to witness side by side Pro Mods tearing it up. The first-ever 3.50’s in a nitrous door car happened when Cecil County Dragway owner Jim Halsey laid down a 3.59. The Ultra Street Championship was decided by a mere 5 points after both Brian Keep and Kirt Sanders went out in the same round of eliminations, giving Brian the 2020 Championship. There was great racing in every class, throughout the entire event.

Bradenton track owner Victor Alvarez is never one to rest on the past, and that was the last event. As he & I stood in the lanes towards the conclusion of the event, I asked him what the plans were for the 50th Anniversary of the Snowbirds Outlaw Nationals in December of 2021. When he told me his idea, I said ABSOLUTELY YES you should do that. So what is “that” you might ask?

How about $50,000.00 large to win Pro Mod at the 2021 Snowbird Outlaw Nationals next December? No, you didn’t read that wrong, Pro Mod at the 2021 Snowbird Outlaw Nationals will be competing for a $50k payday to the winner. This will be a 32 car field, with a $500 entry. That’s right Pro Mod drivers, a $500 entry to compete for a cool fifty thousand dollars. December in Florida, while competing for $50,000.00, what better way to spend the weekend?

Adding to that is that Doug Cook and the gang from Motion Raceworks will be back to the event as the presenting sponsor as well. It was great to see Doug and Motion speak up this season as they did, and already having them back for next year’s event is a great bonus.

Lastly, some news that some racers won’t like is that Victor will not be hosting bracket racing at the 2021 Snowbird Outlaw Nationals. Two other classes will be added though, and that is X275, along with a N/T class. The addition of two very well established classes and their racers will just make the 50th Annual Snowbirds that much better.

Make sure to stay tuned to E3xtreme for more from BMP as well. There are always great happenings over there with Victor, Wade, Dave, and the rest of the BMP family.
