Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Pro Mod Season Kicks off in Ennis this Weekend
/It’s about that time of year folks. This weekend in Ennis, Texas the 2019 Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Pro Mod Series kicks off. We are here in Ennis to cover all the action. Below you will find a free admission flyer. Just save or screenshot the flyer for free admission to the race.
Before we start to talk about the MWPMS, for complete transparency, we at E3xtreme are in fact a part of the MWPMS this season. We are handling all their media and PR. With that said, you will still get the same honest and straight forward coverage you have come to expect and trust with us. Anyone that knows me, knows that I don’t pull punches, whether you like it or not.
So now that all the formality is out of the way, like I said, we are here in Ennis to kick off the 2019 season. Last season ended with a huge bang in Pro Mod, when Jonas Aleshire secured the World Championship with a semi-finals victory at the final event of the season. He went on to win the race as well. Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding for the 2019 season, Jonas is not here on the property this weekend to start defending that championship.
There is certainly an excellent crop of Pro Mods here in Ennis, including Series Founder Keith Haney, last years number #2 and #3 in point Jim Sackuvich and Ron Muenks. Along with those three, I have already seen Jeff and Justin Jones, Todd Martin, EJ Hickl, Jon Stouffer, Tommy Cunningham, and more to come. Not only do we have an outstanding Pro Mod field this weekend but wait…there’s more.
X275 2x World Champion Kenny Hubbard is on the property for a run at his third championship. This time though, he is sporting the beautiful Naiser Racing Components Small Block Chevy with a ProCharger hanging off the front. Michelle Lynn Kato will also be on the property with her wheelstanding SN95 Mustang giving Kenny a run for his money. Rumor has it that that Moore’s will be here as well.
The biggest offseason news for the Mid-West Pro Mod Series in the offseason was the announcement of adding Top Sportsman and Top Dragster. Names like Mick Snyder, Bob Gulitti, Danny Nelson, and Steve McDermott Sr. are just some of the names you will see this season in the MWPMS. Another announcement from the sportsman side is the addition of Race Star Industries as the Top Dragster class sponsor.
Jimmy Boles is here at Ennis handling race operations and track prep, so you can be certain that things will run smoothly. Andy Carter, the Track Manager at the Texas Motorplex has gone to great lengths in making sure that the fans are going to be packing the place, and that everyone knows exactly what is going on. We are lucky enough to have the TV Superstar and Videotape Icon Jimmy “TV Station” Biggs handling the video work. Back again, is also Bangshift.com handling the official MWPMS livefeed, along with Ellen on her Facebook live.
Folks, if you haven’t been to a MWPMS event, you are seriously missing out. It is some of the most entertaining and close pro mod racing in the country. Don’t forget that we contest X275, RvW, T/S, and T/D at almost every event as well though. With that said, we are excited to bring you the coverage you expect from us.
