Midwest Drag Racing Staples Gino Cavallo & Lynne Ryan Purchase Mid South Dragway

There has long been speculation, and I was asked months ago to keep this under my cap, but it is official. Two Midwest staples for years have combined forces and purchased Mid South Dragway in Dyersburg, TN

The track had been floating around the internet for sometime and garner a great deal of interest based on the low asking price for the property. There is much work to be done, but from what I have been told, and from what I personally know of these two, it will become a destination track in the future.

Gino is best know for the many different cars that he has raced, whether it be in NMCA, MDRA, or other series. He knows how to wheel a radial car and a slick tire car in the heat. Doesn't matter if it was at Union Grove, or at the Playground of Power, Byron Dragway, Gino is a contender the moment he pulls in the gates.

Lynne has been a staple in the Midwest for as long as I can remember. Whether it be handling the racers at Union Grove, or dealing with the Chicago Wiseguys back in the day. Lynne made the move to help out at Sikeston when Dyno Dom purchased that track as well. She is well versed in a lot of the aspects of running a track. Her brash personality it just what is needed sometimes, and she has learned over the years, when to use it and when to set it aside and just listen.

I personally think this is a great combo, and I am sure that they will do great things over there. It is always great when we see people invest in the sport that we love, and when it's people that also love it, that makes it even better. So congrats to Lynne and Gino!!
