Lyle Barnett Destroys the Leaf Spring World Record
/That's right folks. We just got the call from Lyle about 20 minutes ago. He is at Darlington Dragway with Jason Digby's Dart and he has crushed the Leaf Spring World Record. Lyle cruised to a 4.3160 at 171.89.
You didn't read that wrong either. Lyle in fact is testing the U.S. Nationals in Bradenton, Fl this weekend. Below is the actual slip from the pass as well. Most know that last year Jason made the change from a nitrous setup to the single turbo setup. The motor is a Jeff Burns & HED combo.
It appears by the numbers that there is still more in the combo. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Dart break into the .20's before next Monday at this rate. It is also great to see Lyle behind the wheel again doing great things. Some may remember that Lyle was out for a while due to a severe fire that had occurred in his RvW car.
Lyle and Jason would like to thank Jeff Burns Racing Engines, Dave Klaput at Proformance Racing Trans, Peter Harrell Tuning HED, Eric Yost Customs by Bigun, Greg Slack Converters, MacFab Beadlocks, Jeff Brandenburg of Dykes and Strippers Custom Wiring, AMS 2000, Precision Turbo, Mike MAG Gough for helping all through the years, Tyler Clark of Wicked Grafixx Tees.
"We aren't done yet" according to Lyle. So like I said, watch for the team to crush their own world record.
