Bart Tobener Starts out 2018 on the right foot
It isn't always unusual to see some early season domination, but when we are talking about how close everyone is now, Bart's early season performances are just that much more impressive.
Bart has been a long time fixture on the drag racing scene. Whether it has been in NMRA, NMCA, or one off radial races, Bart has proven that he has what it takes to end up in the winners circle time after time. It appears that 2018 will be no different.
Already this season, Bart has been to the finals in the biggest radial race in the world at Donald Long's Lights Out 9. He followed that up with a win at the NMRA season opener, and just a week later took the win at the NMCA season opener. I would have to say that Bart is really on a roll.
The Mustang that Bart wheels is a 2015 turbocharged, coyote powered beast. Bart, who has an enormous amount of modular powered knowledge is also showing the world that you don't have to be in a coyote based class to win. During the day when he isn't at the race track though, Bart spends his time moping floors and cleaning at the stock room at Race Part Solutions. A janitor by trade, he has spent time with some of the best in the industry learning tuning and race car building.
With a couple of wins and a runner up under his belt this season, and we are only in early March, it's safe to say that he will be in contention at any race track he shows up at. The next NMCA event is the joint event with their sister organization NMRA in Atlanta April 5th-8th. E3xtreme will be trying to sit down with the janitor himself to get you a full interview about how he feels the season is going, and what his plans are for the rest of the 2018 season. Can he pull off a Charlie Booze this season? Time will tell.
