Cameron Ferre season on "hold" for now
Per Cameron’s social media this morning, he announced that his primary sponsor had vacated due to company restructuring.
As teams head west, I’ve had a lot of people ask about my racing plans for 2022. I feel this is the time to inform everyone that we’ve had some unexpected last minute changes in plans this year.
Our primary sponsor EMPI has vacated the primary role due to a company restructure and we will not be starting the season until we find a replacement. I would like to thank them for everything they’ve done for me to this point and wish them nothing but the best. We sure had some fun reviving a hot rod legacy brand and bringing it back to the forefront of the car scene.
Paton Racing and I are currently looking for a new primary sponsor to get us back out there battling with the world’s best. I’ve worked so hard to get to this level for over 20 years, and it was amazing to show the world what a splash we can make within the NHRA with some proper funding.
I would also like to give a huge thanks to all the companies that are sticking with me during this hiatus and will be ready to go when we get back to it. Your continued support is greatly appreciated. These things happen in racing. It’s business, and I understand that. If you or any companies you may know have an interest in going Top Fuel drag racing, please do not hesitate to reach out. I’m not ready to close my professional racing chapter just yet and will be working hard behind the scenes to continue. Until the opportunity presents itself to return, I’d like to wish best of luck to all my fellow racers. My family and I will be watching closely. Be sure to say hello if you see me racing with my wife and kids in super Comp! #nhra. #manplansgodlaughs
