Mid-West Pro Mod Series Invades St. Louis This Weekend
Coming off a race cancelled event in Bowling Green Kentucky just a couple weeks ago, the Mid-West Pro Mod Series is on the historic ground of Worldwide Technology Raceway at Gateway. Better known to most as Gateway or the Arch.
Rain did us in when we were at Beech Bend in Bowling Green during Tyler Crossnoe’s Outlaw Street Car Reunion. It was a huge blow to so many of the racers that were looking forward to that race since the series made it’s debut there last year, but they all agreed it was the right decision and are making plans to be back there next year.
Once everyone rolled out of beautiful Beech Bend, they were able to have a little time to get their cars in tip top shape and head over to St. Louis to race at another amazing venue. Mid-West Pro Mod includes two stops at Gateway this season, this being the first, and then the first weekend in August as well.
Back for this race are the MWPMS Top Sportsman and Top Dragster classes. This is the inaugural season for both classes in the Mid-West Pro Mod Series, and Top Sportsman is a class that series Founder Keith Haney holds near and dear to his heart. Due to scheduling, the MWPMS is not having any radial based competition at Gateway this weekend though. Keith stated earlier though that he wishes all our MWPMS radial family a safe and successful weekend in Huntsville, where Zach Jones is holding his spring version of Radial Fest.
While some of the MWPMS regulars had to stay home, including photographers favorite, Ron “Gorilla Flames” Muenks, along with the wildly beautiful car of Michael Bradley. Ron’s tuner had a previous commitment this weekend, but Ron stated that they will be back and charging for that win at Tulsa in a couple weeks. Michael, unfortunately suffered the loss of his mother last night and for obvious reasons will not be able to attend. On that note, we at E3xtreme would like to send our thoughts and prayers to the entirely Bradley family right now.
The weather is going to be great racing weather today and tomorrow, and I am sure that we will get to see some killer passes. Bangshift.com will be handling the livefeed, E3xtreme Co-Founder Ellen will be doing plenty of Facebook Live, and I will be bringing you as much photo action as I can because of our amazing sponsors for this event, which include Javers Racing and Prairie Performance Diesel, so a big thank you to Both Chad and Brent.
Make sure to stay tuned to E3xtreme for the best event coverage in drag racing, and if you are in the St. Louis area, might I suggest getting your ass to the race track and enjoying some incredible action this weekend.
