Pro Stock World Champion Erica Enders to compete in Pro Mod come Houston
We found out today that the two time NHRA Pro Stock World Champion Erica Enders has been added to the entry list for Pro Mod when they roll into Houston.
Erica, who is teaming up with Clint Hairston this season to run the pro mod at select NHRA events. For those of you that might be surprised about this, you really shouldn't. Erica is not new to the seat of a Pro Mod. She has previously wheeled Keith Haney's Pro Mod in 2013 for the ADRL Memphis Drags.
Erica tested the turbocharged Camaro entry earlier this season in Bradenton, but was unable to compete with her current grade points due to an offseason change to the entry rules. It's powered by Elite Performance, who is also Erica's Pro Stock primary sponsor as part the Elite Motorsports team.
Erica's husband, Richie Stevens is also entered with his AAP backed car that debuted in Gainesville this year. So there is a good chance that you will see this husband and wife pairing face off at some point during the weekend. Erica will still pilot her Pro Stock car as well at the Houston event. There are currently 30 cars entered for the Houston event.
We will get more information about this when and if it becomes available.
