ADRL moving on without Pro Mod

While there has been a lot said about the ADRL over the past year or so, based on today's announcement via Facebook it appears as though the ADRL will move forward without Pro Mod as part of their program.

ADRL has always been home to and built a brand on being an exceptional Pro Mod organization. After all the issues and perceived issues with previous ownership, and the amount of issues they have had, a decision was apparently made to continue forward without their superstar class.

In my personal opinion, this is like the NFL saying they are having a season without football, but will have other things instead. The fact is that ADRL, during it's heyday was the premiere pro mod organization in the world. This rebranding of sorts seems to be an indicator of the willingness of racers, fans, and sponsors willingness to support the series.

Would you go to a NHRA national event if they didn't have any nitro cars? While we wholeheartedly support the bracket world, that is not what the ADRL brand was built on. That is not what put tens of thousands of asses in the seat. Below you will see the complete announcement made by ownership of the ADRL. And while we support those that choose to race with the ADRL, we also have to ask the question as to whether it's time to drop the entire ADRL name and theme and move to something less "tainted" in the minds of the motorsports industry.

Competition among organizations is always healthy. We see it with the existing Pro Mod organizations or those organizations that include pro mod in their program. Whether it be PDRA, NMCA, NHRA, Mid-West Pro Mod Series, NEOPMA, etc. there is still plenty of places for programs to race.

Let us see what the future holds for the organization. We wish it's racers, sponsors, fans, and ownership nothing but success in the future.
