While Georgia has some terrible weather this week, not even mother nature is going to stop the NMRA & NMCA from kicking off what looks to be a must attend event. There is a who's who of the drag racing door slammer world already on the property. 

It was mighty windy in Commerce, GA on Thursday. Rain here and there, along with even a power glitch, yet the smell of race gas and tire smoke was heavy in the air. A mix of everything from Pro Mods to Open Comp are here on the property at Atlanta Dragway. With the weather getting better ever day moving forward, we expect to see hundreds more cars roll in, along with finding you in the stands this weekend. 

Well who did we run in to today while walking the pits you might ask. NFL superstar Fletcher Cox is here this weekend with his car "Goldust". As usual Shawn Ayers will  be taking the reigns and driving this beast over the weekend. Along with the Bruder Brothers, Tim Turner, and Chase Driskell, this is an pro bowl team in itself. 

Also on the property is the gorgeous Mustang owned by Chris Cantrell who is also tasked with  the driving duties. This car will be featured on E3xtreme very soon. Just know that it's powered by a 600 CID Kasse Ford Hemi and a Nitrous Outlet system. Hank Jackson is crewing for Chris this weekend. Hank is normally the crew guy on the Alan Pitman / Scotty Cannon Husband In-Law team. A great deal of knowledge comes along with Hank this weekend. 

There are already a great number of NMRA Coyote Stock cars on the property as well as Open Comp and Factory Stock cars.  Gary "Hollywood" Parker was cruising around the pits today while waiting on a new set of Mickey Thompson slicks to be mounted. We also ran into the "ModFather" Ronnie Diaz.  He plans on getting his Mustang to go A to B and have some fun this weekend. 

Kevin "Flash" Fiscus is here with Chris Matters Saleen X275 car as well. He will be driving that in the Street Outlaw class, while his FKR teammate will be piloting the Pro Mod Mustang along with the radial car in Radial Wars. Another hitter in the Radial Wars class, is small block icon Marty Stinnett.
