Breaking news from Pro Mod is that Stevie Fast has brought in super tuner from Texas, Billy Stocklin for the remainder of 2017. 

This is developing news that we were made aware last evening. The details of Billy's role are still developing, but we will have more on this tonight after qualifying concludes. From our understanding though, Billy will be in a consulting role. 

We have talked to Stevie and he stated that this started to come together in Houston, where he and Billy chatted about all this. Stevie and Billy worked together a while back, and Stevie felt that having Billy on the team would help further his progress in the NHRA Pro Mod ranks. 

It appears they are making strides in the right direction as well. Stevie, after 2 rounds of qualifying is sitting at #6. There are two more rounds of qualifying today (Saturday) and then eliminations start on Sunday, instead of Saturday night.  Though it is hotter than standing next to a volcano today, I would not be surprised to see these two get from A to B with a quickness.
