Radial Superstar Daniel Pharris to go Pro Mod in 2017

PHARRIS MOTORSPORTS TO ENTER PRO MODIFIED RANKS IN 2017 -For Immediate Release

Daniel Pharris of Pharris Motorsports based out of Sikeston, Missouri is stepping head first into his first ground-up build of his nearly 15-year racing career.

One of the owners of 74 Auto, also based in Sikeston, Missouri has been a radial tire front runner for the past five seasons, first challenging in X275 and then most recently in Radial vs. The World. In the past couple of seasons though, Daniel has begun having dreams of sitting in a full-blown Pro Modified entry that is brand new and built just for him.

In 2017, this very large dream is going to become a 200 mile an hour reality. Larry Jeffers Race Cars was tabbed as the chassis builder of the new sleek 2016 Ford Mustang, sporting a Five Star Race Car Bodies carbon fiber body. Crew chief Josh Ledford, has been working hand-in-hand with LJRC on the customization and functionality of the one-off chassis and components.

Handling the suspension on Daniel's pro mod is the one and only Mark Menscer of Menscer Motorsports. Mark been working furiously on a set of fully custom front struts and rear four-way adjustable shocks, built specifically for only the Pharris Motorsports 2016 Mustang. When talking about making power in this beast, that will be handled by the foremost pro mod turbo engine builder Eric Dillard of Pro Line Racing. The PLR setup will be racking up over 4,000 horsepower in the form of a 548 cubic inch HEMI. PLR has been on board with Pharris Motorsports since the move to RvW was made in the summer of 2014 and we are proud to continue our relationship with them.

FuelTech USA will be providing their revolutionary FT500 engine management system to handling all the tuning duties.  Hyperaktive Performance Solutions was tagged with the choir of controlling the boost with their boost controller. A host of MSD Performance products to keep the engine controlled and working at top performance will be utilized in this build as well. Speaking of making boost, Precision Turbo & Engine return as a partner to keep our turbos spooling with a set of 94mm turbochargers for PDRA Racing Pro Boost competition and a set of 98mm turbochargers for NMCA Xtreme Pro Modified.

Now that we've covered how the powered is made, we have to get it to the ground as well, and who better to handle that than Mark Micke of M&M Transmission and Joe Rivera of ProTorque. The Mustang will be fitting with an M&M Transmission that is stuffed with a ProTorque converter. Strange Engineering componets will be used to transfer the power from the M&M Transmission to the wheels via their center section & axles, along with helping stop the car with their brakes. A beautiful set of Weld Racing wheels and Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels top off the exterior with a custom set of carbon fiber wheelie bars from Mike Valerio at MVM Motorsports.

VP Racing Fuels will return to the table as the official racing fuel for the team. Also, a new partnership with Lucas Oil will help further the team to new heights in 2017. Pharris Motorsports is proud to make this HUGE announcement for our team and we are overjoyed to have Greg Zoetmulder put together this jaw dropping rendering of what has the potential to be our final product. Again, we want to thank all of our sponsors, partners, fans and supporters who have backed us in past seasons and we look forward to having your continued support moving forward with arguably the best car in the stables coming soon. Without the support from our fans, friends, crew, marketing partners, and everyone involved in our program we wouldn't be where we are today and wouldn't be taking the next step in the progression of our program.
