Yes, I know it's only Tuesday but I wanted to touch upon the amazing race weekend coming up. This weekend we have two major events in the south happening. First off is the NMRA/NMCA clash at Commerce, GA and also what should be a huge race in Rockingham, NC when the PDRA invades the Rock. 

The NMRA/NMCA joint event is slated for Thursday through Sunday of this week with Thursday being a day to park and get set up along with a chance to get everything teched in. For those that might not be aware of what happens at one of these races you are in for a real treat. The NMRA (National Mustang Racers Association) and NMCA (National Muscle Car Association) and both Promedia owned series that have been around for many years. 

Not only is there drag racing along with a car show, there is cool stuff like the burnout contest. swap meet, and a huge manufactures midway. So if you are in need of parts or just want to chat with some of the biggest manufactures in the industry about your next project you can do just that. But don't for a second miss the amazing on track action as well. 

This weekend you will see the reigning IHRA Pro Mod Champion, Dina Parise competing in her first NMCA race. There will be top drag radial stars like Keith Berry, Daniel Pharris, Josh Klugger, and more all trying to make sure that Keith Berry doesn't capture that elusive third championship in a row. You will see the sealed engine classes of Coyote Stock & Chevrolet Performance Stock. Let's not forget there will be plenty of index and bracket style classes to steal the show as well. 

If you can't make it to the NMRA/NMCA race though and you need your Pro Mod fix, then you need to head over to The Rock in Rockingham, NC where on Thursday through Saturday the PDRA (Professional Drag Racing Association) will be holding their second event of the year. 

If you are a fan of huge Nitrous Flames from competitors like Jay Cox & Stevie Fast, 200mph Turbo passes, & Supercharger Whine loud enough that rock the ground, then this is the race you should be at. Cars like Keith Haney's Notorious, the Galot Pro Boost car, along with the extreme cars of say Q80 camp and Jason Scruggs. 

Don't for on minute think that all PDRA has to offer is Pro Mod though. There is Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, two Junior Dragster classes, Pro Extreme Motorcycle, and two new classes...The return of Pro Stock along with a 4.99 and quicker bracket bash.  

You cannot go wrong with either race you head to this weekend. We suggest that if you can't make either though, that you at least spend some time watching the livefeeds from both.
